ESG sees PPE go G-G-GREEN!
Our colleagues, at SATEBA UK, have joined forces with a fabulous company called the Avena Group, to recycle our old PPE items including our high vis jackets, vests, trousers, gloves, hard hats and glasses.
PPE that has been damaged, contains old branding or beyond repair is shredded and the fibres are used for soundboards, insulation and geo-textiles. Any textiles that cannot be recycled are converted to pellets for refuse derived fuel.
Avena provide a secure, audited service and a Zero Waste to Landfill Promise – how good is that!
SATEBA Group are serious about our ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) Pledge and happy to share the changes we are making. As part of the Environment Pledge we aim to reduce our carbon footprint, reuse and recycle where possible and respect the biodiversity and surrounding eco-system of our working areas.
